Hi - I am Karen. I am an Artist/Illustrator/Designer, Art Therapist using creative therapies including Sandplay and Art Therapy processes, Shamanic Inner Journeying, Storyteller (writer) and Bush Flower Essences Practitioner, based in the Blue Mountains ~ Australia.

I have a special interest in healing of the soul - and the inner child.

Here at The Heart of Us, I use gentle creative therapies to help women who are seeking to reconnect or heal within, to discover their purpose or to change the effects of grief and loss. I also love to hold nourishing and creative safe spaces online for women to be creative and gain inner insight.
The Heart of Us is a place where you can find solace, express yourself, and embark on a journey of healing and self discovery - there are self-paced courses, meditations, online creative circles, inspirational posters, journals and more.

Or we can work together to explore the transformative power of art and storytelling in your healing process and have some fun along the way.

A healing space for Women to share their story of grief and begin their healing journey. Or to look at inherited ancestral generational trauma, or unhelpful self beliefs.
Limited individual sessions online or studio.

Transform the effects of grief or loss

Helping to uncover the underlying or real worry, and support a child to find their voice and a way through. Limited individual sessions for children approx 7-12 years.

Putting a smile back on a child's face

Welcome to a heartwarming journey of creativity and connection, where mothers and daughters of all ages embark on a magical session of exploration using creative processes, and or meditative visual journeying, to create special memories and re-connection. Experiences are therapeutic - but not therapy.
