Origin of story in painting: The painting was created using watercolours. It is just as much for an adult as for a child. At the time of painting, I was thinking of a friend's upcoming birthday, but overall it was that I felt called to do more to portray the hidden and wondrous world around us. There is a magic when we allow ourselves to feel the ethereal creatures around us. There may be a light touch on the shoulder in the garden, a whisper of wings brushing the face, a tiny flash of light moving around. The Celtic world talks about how the physical and unseen worlds are very close to each other, if only we can allow the veil to lift. 
Whatever your belief, I hope that this painting brings hope, wonder, and a little bit of magic to your soul.
